This is a dance journey exploring the joy of connecting to our movement flow! Our special guest Violeta is a dance teacher (and performer) for everyone – beginner or expert in contact and contemporary dance.
Together we will: Explore solo movements that awaken body awareness and fluidity. Engage in partner practices exploring weight-sharing, momentum, spiraling, and creative lifts.
Violetta will share her lifelong experience in contemporary dance exercises in combination with the fine art of contact improvisation. The clear and embodied exercises refine listening skills, deepen trust, and expand your improvisational vocabulary. Are you ready to connect deeply to the joy and discipline of dance improvisation?

About Violetta:
Violeta Matiushenko. Dancer, performer, movement researcher, and teacher of Contemporary Dance and Contact Improvisation.
10 years of teaching and stage experience. She believes that movement is one of the most important aspects of our lives. Exploring movement opens up various levels of understanding our bodies, our personalities, and our outward expression. Within each of us lies beauty that manifests in movement and our presence. The body always carries stories; it constantly speaks. Our work is to learn how to listen—deeply and multilayered—so that we can consciously express. And then the play begins: concepts, aesthetics, technique, and the virtuosity of mastering the body (and here, we’re not only talking about physical abilities).
